Designed for a rapidly changing entertainment environment, these systems can be attuned to accommodate the intimate lounge DJ, world-class club DJ, as well as live performances. Featuring a main ultra lounge area that boasts 4 Dynacord Alpha Concept series 3-way speakers, with 2 B3 subwoofers that house twin 18'' drivers on Mia's main floor, while 9 EAW VR-62 speakers coupled with EAW SB-150zp subwoofers adorn our VIP guest area.
Mia's sushi bar dining area houses 4 EAW VR-62 speakers and 2 EAW SB-150zp subwoofers. The amplifier collection consists of 6 EV CPS2's, 5 Crown IT-4000's, 1 Crown CDi-2000, and 2 Crown CDi-1000's. The entire audio system is digitally processed and remotely controlled via laptop and BiAmp Audia hardware and software. Video is processed through Extron scalers and switchers, and distributed among 6 65'', 5 52'', 2 46'', and 1 42'' Sharp HDTV, as well as an Eiki projector.
Mia also boasts the first interactive wall (iWall®), and interactive bar (iBar®) in North America. Promotional video can play continuously from various sources such as DVD's, when looped prior to delivery. Mia's lighting is as intricate as its sound, utilizing over 3000 RGB LED lights, 10 moving head hybrid RGB LED lights, 2 1.5mW Lasernet lasers, and an array of RGB LED par cans. All lighting is controlled via Martin Light Jockey and Lasernet software.

Gerdy Rodriguez represents a new vanguard in the culinary world. With a strong, technical focus that is equal parts science and art, Rodriguez is the 'culinary artist' responsible for the spectacular food one experiences at Mia at Biscayne. At the age of 33, Rodriguez boasts an admirable slew of accolades. By the time he reached his early 20's, the self-taught foodie was establishing himself as an executive chef with a very distinct culinary style. With valuable apprentice training under the aegis of some of South Florida's top toques, among them Norman Van Aken (Norman's, Mundo) and Angel Palacios (La Broche), Rodriguez rapidly progressed up the culinary ladder. Most recently, Rodriguez served as executive chef at 1 Bleu, the signature restaurant of The Regent Bal Harbour. Prior to 1 Bleu, Rodriguez tackled the challenge of re-inventing Café Sambal at the AAA Five Diamond and Mobil Four Star rated Mandarin Oriental in Miami. Rodriguez took on the challenge of repositioning a restaurant known for its global cuisine, infusing it with his own personal style, and garnering rave reviews in the process. Rounding out his distinguished resumé are positions as chef de cuisine at Norman Van Aken’s Mundo in Coral Gables, and sous chef under Angel Palacios at the former La Broche Miami. His delightful creations can now be savored at Miami's most unique location, Mia at Biscayne.

An alternative to heading to other parts of town where you will spend a lot before arriving at your destination, Mia is a bit different. Okay, actually very different. Form valet parking conveniently set up directly in front of the venue, valet is affordable and runs between $5-$10 based on day part. With the idea that overstaffing is better than understaffing, Mia's staff is always readily available to take care of our guests. With seasoned hostesses making you the guest feel welcome since you enter our venue, to the bartenders and wait staff, our team will always be polite and give you a warm smile.
